| Harald Vlugt is opgeleid als beeldhouwer aan de Kunstacademie d'Witte Lelie in Amsterdam en werkte na afloop van zijn studie in 1981 een aantal jaren in het buitenland. (Egypte, New York en Sao Paolo). Nog is Nederland te klein en werkt hij regelmatig in het buitenland, waar hij ook doceert. Hij exposeert heel regelmatig, maar bijna uitsluitend in het buitenland. Al in 1991/92 is een overzichtstentoonstelling gehouden in Schiedam, Parijs en Herblay van werk, dat hij in de laatste 10 jaar heeft gemaakt. Ook heeft hij toegepaste kunst ontworpen zoals banken, deurgrepen, verlichting e.d. voor de kopie van het Huis ten Bosch in Nagasaki. Zijn werk bevindt zich in alle belangrijke privé- en openbare collecties in binnen- en buitenland. Hij maakt incidenteel ook grafiek en werd in 1994 winnaar van de Nederlandse Grafiekprijs. | Harald Vlugt was educated as a sculptor in Amsterdam. After graduation he worked several years abroad. He still thinks that Holland is too small and he regularly works abroad (Paris, Sao Paulo). For the copy of the Huis ten Bosch in Nagasaki he designed the applied art such as benches, doorknobs, lightfixtures etc. Incidentally he started to make printed art and in 1994 he won the Dutch Graphic Art prize. His sculpture and prints are in all leading private and public collections all over the world. |
